Jeff Madsen

Jeff was born in Santa Monica, CA. He lived in his childhood home until he moved to Santa Barbara to attend the University of California.

Until recently, the biggest highlight in Jeff's life occurred at Dodger Stadium where he, along with the rest of the Pacific Palisades High Dolphins, won the City Invitational Baseball Championship. Also, until recently, the only real famous poker player to come out of Pacific Palisades High School was Team Full Tilt member Chris Ferguson.

But all that's changed now that Jeff's made poker history.

At the 2006 WSOP, Jeff started out placing third in the Omaha Hi/Lo split event. Eleven days later, Jeff went all in with J-7 in the No-Limit Hold 'em event and beat out Paul Sheng to win his first WSOP. This made him the youngest winner in WSOP History at that time.

Six days later, Jeff made history again when he won his second WSOP bracelet after beating Erick Lindgren heads up with a pair of Qs in the Short-Handed No-Limit Hold 'em event. He is still the youngest player ever to have won two WSOP bracelets at the same Series.

Between 2007 and 2009, Jeff grinded out the tournament circuit, racking up regular cashes. His most noteworthy results included finishing 8th in the $9,600 WPT Championship Event at Bay 101 Shooting Stars, San Jose, in 2007. He also took home a total of over $220K from the 2009 LA Poker Classic when he won the $1,500 No Limit Hold ‘em event and finished 3rd in the $9,900 HORSE Championship.

In early 2010, Jeff received his biggest payday since winning his WSOP bracelets. He took the top spot at the 2010 Borgata Winter Poker Open, and over $625K in prize money, when his K-10 held up against his opponent's Q-2.

Jeff has an aggressive style that many believe is the hubris of youth. But, with four final tables in four different events and two WSOP bracelets under his belt, he hopes it proves that he's not a fluke player.

Overall, Jeff credits his ability to read players to watching a lot of films and to studying people.
